I come from a background in photography and the art's. I have done voice-over work, movie part's and even filmed a few movies. Also a tv host, on air host, stunt extra.

The photography I do and have produced is quite varied from applique to sublimation to platinum and many other forms. I have made cameras for shows. I have also participated in almost 50 group shows and self produced 4 solo shows. I produced and curated 6 group shows. I also worked and studied with some masters in an assistant capacity as well as working with other renowned professionals in the field.

Snowboarder:
I am a CASI Level II certified Snowboard Instructor who has been living and working in Whistler for 25 years. I was the instructor of the year for the 01/02 season!

A great thanks to Fanatic Sup for welcoming me to their family.

I am so excited to announce my recent appointment of ambassador for Fanatic Sup. To say anything else but gratitude would be an understatement. Fanatic is a legendary company that has been around since 1981! Their boards and all their products are top notch and built in the same facilities as other top boards.

The model I am riding for the majority of my training is the Blitz, 14×25.5. I also have the Ray Air Premium for touring and some lake days. The Blitz handles all conditions favourably. From ocean mayhem to calm lake days. Upwinding, Quartering, Downwinding, Island crossings are all comfortably managed with the Blitz. With the current width on my Blitz at 25.5 it is surprisingly stable. The secondary stability is also quite comforting.

The Ray Air Premium is a fantastically lively and playful for a 13.6 inflatable touring board. Not to the point of being challenging. Looking forward to loading it up shortly for some winter sup camping.

New homestead?

We finally did it. 26 years in Whistler and the truck got loaded and we did some driving and ferry riding.

Coasters be us now. It is exciting to explore all the potential options. It seemed that with Whistlers waters

freezing for 5 plus months of the year I would have left previously. I did too. It took time for us to make

the move. Eventually, it all worked and I can never use the excuse, the waters frozen or, whatever. So

stoked to have this opportunity. I will take advantage of it. Stay tuned. ps it is an old photo but I love it.

Fall season and 100 shades of grey.

That time again!

We know it and live through it every year.

No biggy! We will ride it out.

Even though this is an anomaly, it will subside.

So lets do that and put on your dry suits and get out there.

Have fun and be safe.

And take lots of pics.

A time to tow the line.

Unless your under a rock for the last year and a half you are well aware of the pandemic plaguing our world. The corona virus. If you are a anti vaxxer or non believer or just not wanting to partake in the inoculation for your self. May I ask that you do something not for yourself, but, for someone around you. Someone loved, a family member, a partner, a buddy, whatever.
Please think of others. This is not about you and your ideals. Or, that you think this some kind of conspiracy promoted by our governments, please. Take your head out of the sand and do something for someone other than yourself.
Grow up! No one really wants to get a needle. No one wants to sit in line waiting for this and then feeling the side effects. No one wants any of those negatives. As well as, no one wants to see a loved one die needlessly because of your particular viewpoint.
To put it in a nutshell. Your not smart enough to argue with the people of science out there dedicated to protect us from this virus and all other viruses and ills that face us daily.
Now! Go roll up your sleeve and get er done!
Not for you. But, for your mom, your pop, uncle, neighbour, friend, lover, brother, just get it done!
Go. Do it.

The wonderful Power of Water.

Nothing can be better than to plunge oneself in the healing powers of water. I dont mean literally but in an immersive sense, or, if you do want to go in, on top, by or around the presence of water.

It has long be documented that it holds many curative abilities that we do not fully understand as yet. Many scholar and mystic will acknowledge this fact. I, myself can attest to it and the power of water and its spirituality and healing powers.

Think, the last time you went to the beach. You sat on a dock. Took a boat ride. Went swimming at a local pool. When you returned you felt rejuvenated, relaxed and maybe? even temporarily, content.

I know I do and as usual I hope you do as well.

Take the moment or two to do this and you will see what a difference it makes to your health and well being. I for one can not wait to get back on the water and immerse my self in the bounty of water. Even though it has been only a day it feels much longer.

Tomorrow cant come fast enough.

See you there.

The Power of Positive Thinking.

Many lifestyle coaches, councillors and academics will say that if there is anything you want in life you have to get it. You have to envision it and focus on that. The ability to get what you want.

It doesnt matter if it is a person, place or thing. Work hard at achieving your goals. If you are looking for a mate, dont sit at home. If you want something material then you have to work to get the money to buy it. If you want to further your academic learning, you must study diligently. Simple. Work for what you want.

You will get what your after if you do and persevere.

A rose for you my friends.

Yeah! A New Year!

Well I am sure there are not many people out there who don’t disagree with me that I sure am happy to kiss 2020 goodbye.

Coronado Beach, San Diego

It was a tough one on all of us. We survived and will continue on.

Thats what we do. We are humans. And until the last dying spark goes from our hearts we must fight for this life that we have till the end. Fiercely. Like our warrior forefathers. Fighting for their lives.

Let this be the best year ever for all of us and prosper as well.

May we find peace and contentment.

cheers to us all and this new year.

Why you shouldnt move around on a frozen paddle board!

Sounds funny, doesnt it? You think that anyone that said that wouldnt know what they are talking about. Most wouldnt, I do. So, what do I mean by that? Dont move around on the board if its frozen? Simple, dont move around.

Reason being is that if you are on a fresh water lake or river and it is cold enough to snow or is zero on the temperature scale then you should consider against any sudden actions or movements because of ice. Yup! Ice! It can happen very quickly and catch one of guard easily. Even a subtle movement can cause your foot to slip and put you in a precarious position.

I will give you a great example: I was paddling while it was snowing the other and I was getting ready to do a buoy turn and as I stood back on my board my rear foot slid and almost came off the back of the board! Fortunately, I was able to keep my balance and not go in the drink! It did make my heart skip a beat but knew I was ok, I had my drysuit on so that gave me the comfort I needed.

Morale of the story: If your paddling in cold weather were ice is forming, be careful, like real careful!

Now get out there and go paddle! Winter be damed! ps dress appropriately!

It is official! It is winter in Whistler.

Not going to hide it or change the fact. It is what it is. I do like this time of year as the signalling of the change of seasons is a wonderful spectacle to be had.

Whether you like it or not, winter, is a beautiful time in Whistler. All the grey and rain stop to make way for the great nature equalizer, the blanketer of all nature. A time when the air is crisp and mountains more than dotted with snow. A quiet that comes over the town before the season starts with the excitement building within its locals hearts and minds.

Everyone walking around smiling for a change instead of the blank stares that one receives as of late.

When the snow covers the mountains completely it is just breathtaking.

Hope everyone has a chance to see the winter wonderland for what it is up here and dabble in a little revelry.

I would also like to announce another fantastic sponsor to the fold! Aquapac!! I have used their products for years and rely on them! I would like to thank them deeply for their support and a fantastic product! Thank you!!

Paddling on the ROGD's in winter.
When the lake freezes…..

It is that time again!!

West Coast, BC.

I will try to not wine or cringe to much but some might expect it. Its that time!!

snow,

elegant blanket

with gleaming cold purity

sharing calm and peace

This is my attempt at a snowy Haiku. It is the start of winter up here in Whistler and I couldnt be sadder. The thought of my lake being frozen for months on end is something I am coming to grips with but never enjoy. Alas, it is Whistler and I should be happy for my snow hound friends that are twitching like the fall leaves falling. I am happy for them but mourn my loss. My temporary loss.

Ha. Dont feel sorry or sad for me because I know where to get my fix. It is a little further and a little colder but with the right gear per usual I will be fine. So, fear not friends, I will be fine, cold, but fine. As for the skiers and snowboarders that are getting excited, well, lets wish you a great year of boundless fields of powder and empty lift lines.

Now get waxing your gear and get ready!!

cheers
